I had always wanted to be a stay-at-home mom, but that just wasn’t in the plan for us. After working outside the home for a while a good friend asked if I could care for their new son a couple of hours a day. Soon, this grew into a full-time position This same friend suggested that I become a licensed childcare provider. After givingt some thought, I went ahead did it. What began as a favor for a friend turned into a rewarding career! Later in my career, Jamie and I decided that having a child care program with 2 providers would be beneficial to our child care families and our family. The children receive higher quality care with two of us caring for them. It's more fun, too! The trainings I took helped me to realize that being a childcare provider was more than just a babysitting service. These are the most impressionable years in a child’s life! This has led us to hours of continuing education each year above and beyond state requirements to be sure that we are fully equipped to provide the families and children in our program with the highest quality of care that we can.
